We recently went on a field trip to a local fire station with our homeschooling group. The kids had a blast! They let them get inside the trucks, told them how every thing works and even gave them a snack afterward. JD got to spray the fire extinguisher ..he loved it. It is amazing to me all of the activities available in our local area to take the kids to. Most cost little or nothing at all. We should really try to support all of the local activities that are available to us. Check your local library they have things for the kids all of the time.
